Xi’An, Night, Light

Xi’An is one of the most historical and impactful cities in Chinese history. It was the capital of more than 13 Chinese dynasties, including the famous Qing Dynasty, Han Dynasty and Tang Dynasty. Because of this, Xi’An contains many historical architecture, including the Bell Tower shown here. To many people, Xi’An is much more than a city, Xi’An is a symbol of their proud cultural heritage. The Bell Tower is situated in a large roundabout, a unique solution to the preservation of this building. The image was captured at night with a long exposure time to get the special light effect from the passing cars. It looks as though lines of light are dancing below the building, combining the historical feature of the building with the modern view of the lights.
