Japan, Streets, Everyday
If I were to use one word to describe the streets of Japan, it would be clean. Everything was organized, and walking on the streets gave me a refreshing feeling. It is something that cannot be explained through language, something that can only be experienced when you are actually immersed in the environment. I tried to capture this feeling and emotion through this set of images. These are ordinary street views of Japan captured throughout Tokyo and nearby cities. Even though these images might just seem ordinary, they give off a sense of organization, a sense of harmony, and a sense of purity. I used bright and soft colours and intentionally lowered the contrast to create this feeling. These pictures are ordinary in the way that it doesn’t capture any magnificent phenomenon, but rather everyday streets, people, and objects. However, these are often the things most related to our lives, and perhaps most deserving of being captured.
